Well, this saturday I got hit by a car on my way back from a friend’s. Got a nasty concussion and a couple of sprained wrists, but I guess I’m none too much worse the for the wear. Excuse the somewhat sloppy playing, I’m not quite back to my A-game. That said, It feels good to pick up a guitar again after a few days. Immense thanks and what have you to everyone that helped me out/offered support through the ordeal. It means a lot to me.
I’ve wanted to post a version of this song for a while, but I haven’t felt like I had a decent enough recording of it/excuse to get away with it. My mom used to play this one a lot when I was younger at family outings and camping trips and what have you and I’ve always really liked it. I don’t play it as well as she does and certainly not as well as Taj Mahal. If you’ve never heard of the guy, check him out, and if you haven’t already listened to my mom’s music, get your ass to http://www.mb2u.com/ and give it a listen.
